I’m a pretty solid libertarian and a lot of the things that Ron Paul says on personal freedoms, limited government, low taxes, and personal responsibility are right in line with my own beliefs. However, there is no way — I’ll say it again — NO WAY that someone who is this confused about the underlying reasons for 9-11 and the continuing problems with islamist terror around the world could make an effective president.

This country needs someone who will stand up for the country and defend it against people who hate us and want us dead for no other reason than our freedoms. Paul’s comments tonight show that he is fundamentally misguided or simply does not understand this issue. No doubt he made up a lot of people’s minds on who not to support as a Republican candidate in 2008.

Claiming that America is somehow responsible for the 9-11 attacks and for other terrorist attacks prior to 9-11 and after 9-11 is asinine. No one is responsible for islamist terrorism, except islamist terrorists.
