Match this article up against the recent demands that a British school teacher who allowed a teddy bear to be named Muhammed be publicly flogged, jailed, stoned, or beheaded.
19 years in prison for three Islamic terrorists’ guilt of having decapitated three young Christians in Indonesia. The crime took place in 2005 in Poso, a “hotbed” in Central Sulawesi. Yesterday a court in South Jakarta condemned Wiwin Kalahe alias Rahman to 19 years in prison; his accomplices Yudi Heriyanto alias Udit and Agus Nur Muhammad alias Agus Jenggot, received 10 and 14 years detention.
In a sharia-influenced court, brutally decapitating three Christian girls — hacking their heads off with machetes and then scattering the heads around the town — is worthy of a 10 year jail sentence. Naming a teddy bear Muhammed, on the other hand, is worth 40 lashes, fines, six months in jail, and then a deportation order (while crowds outside the “court” demand that the infidel be released so they can behead or stone her). I understand that these are different countries, however, the sharia overtones are consistent.
One should consider also that the article describes how the same Indonesian “courts” gave the death sentence last year to Catholics who had carried out “violence against Muslim community.” Now I have no problem with countries punishing those who break laws and commit violence against others. What I do have a problem with is a “justice” system that favors one group of people over another, handing out harsher judgments against some because of their religious views. Clearly in these “justice systems,” there is little to no concern about protecting human rights or maintaining the rule of law; their focus is on protecting Muslims and maintaining Muslim rule.
For those who missed it, we’re watching the re-establishment of the dhimmi system around the world. You’d better get your jizya ready and learn to hang your head and take a punch when handing it over. Either that, or do something to demand that these nations ensure equal treatment for all their citizens and refuse the imposition of sharia here at home.
