Just in case you had missed the obvious. Congressman Anthony Weiner makes it abundantly clear for you. The Democratic plan to push a socialized, single-payer system onto the American people has, as its foundation, the desire to remove private insurance options. They want the government to take over our health care system. As Weiner puts it, “Medicare for all Americans.”

As you watch the video, note that Weiner also tries to push the tired and long ago debunked notion that — the < cue ominous scary music >“MOB”< /cue ominous scary music > — the people at these town hall meetings are all paid astroturf, put there by the insurance companies and the GOP. We’ve seen over and over again that the astroturf is primarily on the pro-Obamacare side, where ACORN and various unions are busing in pro-reform crowds to bolster their support for the TV cameras.

He actually asks the question, “what is the value of having private insurance companies?” and claims that “health care is not a commodity” (implying that it then must be a right). He later continues by saying that he wants the federal government to take over all of health care, so he can remove profits from health care.

While it is clear that Weiner is pushing the same socialism that Obama and his crew so desperately want, Weiner is doing something that Obama would never have the guts to do. I credit Weiner for getting out there and telling the truth. He clearly states that he wants a complete federal government take over of our health care system.

When he’s in front of a friendly crowd and feels like he can speak freely, Obama admits that that is the plan he supports. (via Hot Air),

However, when he’s not standing in front of a completely friendly crowd, he starts employing his lawyer-ese and using “free market” terms like “expanding competition” to cover his true intent. Of course we all saw Zach Lahn completely stump Obama with his question on how any private company can compete against an entity that can simply dump tax payer dollars in, avoid regulations, not pay taxes, etc.

It’s good to see that there are a few honest socialists out there and it is worthwhile to take them at their word. They don’t like private, free market options, they will ask the question “what’s the use of having them?”, they want the government to run our health care system, and they will blithely gloss over the fact that the other socialized health care systems around the world are “imploding.”

They’ve been trying to socialize our health care for over 60 years, what makes you think they’ll stop now. For those who might waver in the face of their pressure, here’s a pep talk from the Gipper for you (via The Calvert Eagle)
