Why do we continue wasting our time on this train wreck?

We now have 62% of American voters opposing a single-payer plan (& only 27% actually supporting it).

At the same time, leading medical experts from Johns Hopkins are making the clear case that Obamacare will effectively destroy the ability of medical organizations to provide care for any patient and will overwhelm already strained state budgets.

But without an understanding by policy makers of what a large Medicaid expansion actually means, and without delivery-system reform and adequate risk-adjusted reimbursement the current health-care legislation will have catastrophic effects on those of us who provide society’s health-care safety-net. In time, those effects will be felt by all of us.

The sad thing is that Obama doesn’t seem to care. He is once again treating our legal system and our constitution as a hindrance and, as he said on the campaign trail, his plan is to spread the wealth around (read: make us all equally miserable). Democratic means are only useful to him insofar as they can be bent to achieve his will. When they stop helping him, he demands that those who disagree “get out of his way.”
